Recording sounds from a synth controlled by Mpc via Midi

Hi! I'm new here! I have an MPC 2000 since 2 weeks ago

I start my activity on the forum with a question:
I have a Jomox mbase 11 (an analog bass module) that i can control via midi with my MPC.
It works but the thing i want to know is: How can i record sounds made by me while playing the bass with the pads?
MPC records only MIDI data, not sounds and if try to sample i am not be able to play pads while using the SAMPLE screen.
I can't believe the only way to do what i want is to sample single sounds and then play them from the mpc memory.

I have a sound module also. I have the sound module midi going into MPC4k for sequencing and the sound module audio going into my audio interface and into a tracks in my daw, Reaper.

This is how it is normally done with mpc's.

I have the MPC going into the module as a controller, the module audio into a mixer and the audio of the mixer into the mpc.
So do you record digitally with the audio interface using the mpc as a controller only?

mpc optical adat out to audio interface

Sound Module analog out to audio interface.
Sound module midi into mpc.

Reaper is DAW and gathers all audio into seperate tracks.

Module gets triggered with mpc pads.

No mixer, just audio interface.
