Are you talking about OS128XL on the MPC2500, or is this affecting all versions of JJOS on the 2500?

are you guys talking about just random constant static? it happens if i install os3.

Yes, this is a known bug. I have been experiencing on my MPC2500 since I moved to OS3. Switch from Analog to Digital and back to Analog to remedy this in the short-term. It's annoying but at least you don't have to fully power the machine off and back on or anything like that.
