Yo man..WWWTTTTFFFFFFFF!!!!! What is this???

I need some help here....

So I go thru the process of getting all the beat elements together...make the beat, sounds cool so far....

Use some plugins on the beat and it's sounding REAL nice now, right?

....Go to save......everything seems cool.

I close out the MPC for a minute...come back, fire it up and load the track..

AND THE BEAT PLAYS EVERYTHING LIKE IT WAS BEFORE I TOOK LIKE AN HOUR AND A HALF TO MAKE IT SOUND GOOD WITH THE PLUGS!!! ****!

Now, I have to do all that mixing shit over again.

Oh and ANOTHER thing exploding tracks.....I don't get it....

I create song, convert/seq - choose export as Audio Mixdown - choose Render source "explode tracks", etc...

Then when I try to open in logic, I can see the waves, but some sounds don't play..

And the sounds that do play, play sporadically or were loaded in fine but parts appear to be cut out and the shit doesn't play like the damn song mode it was derived from...

I got it down with the Touch as far as how to use (sorta) but when it comes to ANYTHING outside of that session right then; if I don't export as audio to MP3 and continue mixing via two track in logic, something goes wrong and it's frustrating as hell, man.

The dinosaur way of making beat in MPC and dumping track by track into Logic has fared better for me in the past and I assumed this would make things easier.

What the hell am I doing wrong here????

The explode thing doesn't work to well for me either, I got a bad taste and haven't tried since. I have read it works better putting an empty bar in the beginning and doing it twice. Weird, but I read that it works.

If you make track and than load it as a plugin in a DAW it screws your plugins you had in standalone.
They should do something about that. The plugin should be as featured as the standalone.

What plugins are you using? Are they re-loading with the right presets/settings? Are you using cracked/pirated plugins?

When creating tracks using standalone all my plugins don't load if I load that standalone file in plugin mode in a daw. They don't load correctly if I go back and try to load standalone again.

I'm not using any cracked software.

I'm using waves plugs and my shits are legit, so no cracks.

When I save I just save project (which I assume is all you have to do)

and when I load, I just load the project.

All the sounds and everything is there, plugs I chose are there too, they just resort back to default setting and they don't save the setting I used when I mix the track.

If you are using Logic Pro X I will bet that your issue stems from using the MPC in 32 Bit mode.

Logic Pro X is 64 Bit, and it would make some sense if certain plugins aren't showing up.

Logic more than likely is loading a 64 bit version of the MPC, and at best you will have to rescan your plugins with the MPC instantiated.

If you have both 32, and 64 bit versions of your plugins you should be fine. If not you may want to render your files, and import them into Logic.

I hope that you get worked out.

Yeah I've seen this issue where my plugin preset doesn't get saved...

Yo successfully export seperate tracks convert your song into a new long seq.. Go to your newly created seq.. Hit the main window button on hardware. Got software and commence export. I have noticed exporting from any other page can cause issues. Works a charm as long as you are on Main page. Don't know why you are losing you plug settings not come across this before

How do you switch to 64bit in MPC? Is that even possible?

I just bought the Touch like 4 weeks ago so I'm sure I have the most up to date software version.

I figure one thing out...

The logic software was putting some sounds on output 3-4 instead of stereo so I was happy when I saw that at least.

I just did an explosion that appears to have worked.

My thing is I want to be able to do all mixing in logic and not in the MPC software since it doesnt save my settings on my plugs when I mic in the akai software.

Glad it worked out this time, and going forward I hope it works.

These waves plugs are pretty CPU intensive from what I notice...I need to invest in a UAD2 box.

the 32 and 64 bit vst dll are found in appropriate "programs(86)" or "programs" folder- your daw plugin scan needs to reference the 64 bit - you can double check your version when you navigate to "about mpc" under the "help" it will tell you there

- open your Applications Folder
- Select the MPC.app
- Right click on the file, or press Control+click with your mouse
- Select "Get Info" from the drop down list

You will see the option to open in 32bit mode. if this is selected uncheck it, and the MPC will then launch in 64 bit mode.

you will need to rescan all of your plugins again to make sure that everything is available.

If this isn't the issue we definitely have a bigger issue.

I hope that it all works, and is just a simple fix.

Bet....one mystery solved...just checked and I'm version 1.9.4 [64 bit] so i'm good there...

I'm running 64 bit in the Touch, from what i can see, so the issue is somewhere else.

Good news is I did a successful (track explode) export so at this point, that's all I need.

Just make the beat in the Touch, export and keep it moving into logic to mix.

Long as I can do that, I'm good.
