16 bit wav for mpc 2000xl.

I just purchased my first drum kit for my MPC2gxl but now when I try to open the wave it gives me this "NOT 16 BIT .WAV or PCM" Man, I am not having a great week with my MPC. Help please

Was it supposed to be formatted for MPC2000XL? While many sample companies advertise their packs as 'MPC compatible', they rarely are as often the sounds are 24 bit. You'll need to convert them to 16 bit using software preferably with batch conversion. I use Audition, but I'm sure others can recommend some freeware.

Obviously, you didn't get the drum kit from MPC Samples dot com!
Anyway, if you are using Mac OS, XLD would be a good tool.
