sample question

so i got my 1k. no monitors yet im using a pair of sony headphones the bigger ones that go over your head, but yea using those with a 1/4 adapter for the phone jack hole. my cuzzin just brought me his turntable he never used its a numark TT usb, and here is my problem/question. since im using headphones if that even matters in this situation, would i still need a mixer to sample from the turntable to my mpc? and the needle on the turntable is demolished and idk where or what exactly to search for to find it, i know just typing in needs for numark TT sounds ok but ive tried that and idk if its the proper item im looking at. someone please help. thank you

If it's only got USB outputs, you'll need to sample into your computer and then transfer the resulting WAVs to your MPC.

for sure thanks for the advice bro. and yea the turntable does have usb outputs the model is a numark tt usb. but now since i dont know a damnn thing about turntables i gotta figure out the names of each part on the turntable and figure it if i need a new ''cartridge'' or a ''stylus''. and the real thing i need lol is a NEEDLE but when i search for that specific part the NEEDLE lol apparently stylus and cartridge comes up and idk which one to get lol

If just the 'needle' is broken then you need to replace the 'stylus' as Numark call it. If the whole thing is broken then you'll need a new 'cartridge' (which includes the stylus). I think!
