Sampling the mpc2000xl

Totally probably illegal but im trying to sample the mpc2000xl into logic pro x
I have my mpc outs (L/R) going to an audio interface going to logic pro x i arm the track but dont hear it while recording but i can play it back only problem is that it records paned to one side when i play it thru my headphones any help ?

sounds like the audio interface might not be set up correctly in logic... also, why is it illegal? How else would you record your beats?

Which settings need to be on? I can hear it now while im sampling it but when i play it back i still hear it only on the right side

i dont know.. you would need to be more specific. i dont know what gear you have or how its set up.. etc.
