thats exactly what i do too.... i think not having a computer hooked up plays a big part of that too........ i'll have a couple friends come over and play guitar over a beat and i'll just sample an 8 bar guitar riff right into the MPC..... i do the same with the keyboard...i got some cheap ass keyboard that a friend left at my house but i can sometimes find some good sounds on it....

mpc2000xl, vinly, electric bass, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar which i actually don't use much.

i got one of those Yamaha PSR keyboard that i borrowed from my friend. it has cheesy sounds though, i don't like it, never used it.. i just use it to learn to play keyboard/piano.

I'm only using my precious 2k....with a turntable

I try to use the mpc for as much of the song as possible. Sometimes I sample talking calculators and all kinds of random sound makers... run em through filters and effects to create sounds that even the most cutting edge synths could never touch.

I use my MPC whenever I'm pulling samples off records, and for individual drum samples.
Unfortunately that's it.
Everything else is either from a guitar, or Logic Pro 7.

I use my MPC for everything. My EMU is collecting dust and my Bass guitar gets only some use.
