MPC 4000,and Logic 7

Anyone here use a combination of both. I want to switch to a new format ,but I dont want to give up my baby . Would anyone recommend this? If so,is it an easy transition?

if you got the adat card, your mpcs outs show up in the logic mixer, to apply vst effects and whatnot...very cool.

I fooled with it before but I couldnt get my MPC configured right. I moving on to bigger productions,and I know that soft synths are the way to go. I quit once,and said screw Logic,but "05" is a new year and I'm totaly revamping my studio. The only things staying are my 5050,and my 4000. I just want to know that I can successfully incorporate my 4000,and I'm just doing something wrong.

logic is a beast, it'll do everything you need, you can even make up a virtual MPC in logic to controll your mpc from logic
I havn't used logic since the pc hasn't been supported, so i dont know much about the later versions.Now I use cubase, Absynth and 3 hardware synths(old analoge ones) + my baby. i couldnt possibly need any more instruments, Although recording gear would be nice

I have a similar setup (MPC4000, Andromeda A6, Jomox Airbase 99, Waldorf Pulse) and I'm having trouble getting my MIDI configured with Logic 7 and an Emagic AMT8. Setting up to sequence from Logic is easy, but I want to sequence from the MPC4k but still keep my synths routed to the AMT8 for access to and from SoundDiver. I'm really frustrated after a number of tries, can't figure out what I'm missing? Do I need to set up the Environment for this? Any help would be appreciated.
