I got a few questions

im gettin a used mpc in the next few days
so when i get how do i easily find out...
a. the OS version
b. the amount of ram its been upgraded to

also, can the 2000xl 's OS be updated thru the internal zip drive or will i have to take it out, install a floppy drive, install the os, remove the floppy drive, then put the zip drive back in?

A. Go to http://www.akaipro.com/int/download/index.html and click on the latest version for your MPC.

B. Hit Shift+4 (Sample Mode). Then hit Open Window. It will tell you how much memory is available. As far as the last question I'm not 100% positive, I'm about 97% sure it will work if the O.S is saved on the zip.

Your going to have alot of questions so I would suggest also downloading the manual off the akai website and start reading it now so you'll start to familiarize your self with it. Good luck.
