I'm a dead man.... What am I to do... The only way it works is if I pull up on it and turn it. ... I'm f***ed... I am 4 songs shy of my album, and only got a couple of hundred on me. Do you guy know of a quick solution for this that will only take a weeks time.

open it up (unplugged!) and see if you just knocked a nut off or something.

I unplugged it and took it apart. By the way my play start button fell out. It was loose every since I got it ( I guess broke every since I got it).

Any way i took it apart and every thing is intack inside. The little black stick on the board feel funny. It dosn't wobble, but if I push it in it drops in and I can also pull it back up. I guess thats why it works slightly when i pull it up.

Anymore ideas while i have it open......

Thanks
Leroy

I am not familiar with the 2000 insides, but if the black stick it the pot shaft, you may want to try and keep it where it is supposed to be (or where it works!) use some kind of weak adheasive in case you need to undo, elmers might be good but go easy!

:P

Funny, yet sad :(

Hey they are only charging me 100 to fix it... not too bad....because of this I can't put my MBOX on layaway........oh well. Live and learn... next time i will duck and weave instead of covering my eyes and swating....I was such a wussy

lol "duck and weave"

or "drop and roll" and let loose with the chemicals

Mbox huh?

another PT kid in the making.

not a bad unit the mbox but theres other options... plus you dont have to be limited to PT... but i wont open THAT can of worms. unlike a lot of ppl on here i actually work with PT in the studio and i still prefer Sonar2XL for my own use at home, but each to their own.

**** wasps. thats crocker :P

Hey,

Tell me more about this protools sonar thing. I own sonar 2xl also. I never got into using it much though (I got it as a gift). I can just say it has performed better on my system than cubase has. I had no latency problems with it and no popping. Also what sound card do you use I just sold cubase 5.0 and my echo darla 24 to buy protools... but since I had to fix my baby (MPC) I had to put that on hold. I am currently recording on a VS 1880... I have about 24 songs on it and 20 them have vocals.

What's your opinion on this... with sonar can I work with people that have protools. That was kinda my reasoning for buying it that and the fact that I couldn't fix the cubase latency problems.

My System p4/2.2... 2gb ram...80gb segate 8mb buffer/maxtor 40gb...win 98/asus mother board...nothing intergrated on it.....G4 AGP video card or something like that

I only run MSword...etc/acrabat reader/and firewall on this computer.

Thanks
Leroy
