So to who this may concern at Akai if you ever browse this forum. This thread is just another reason we need your focus on DAW users. The current software for us lonely DAW users, and I do mean DAW users only, who never touch the Mpc in standalone ( Yes we do exist ) well to put it bluntly, the Mpc software in a DAW is lackluster at best, and while we've remained ever so patient without any nagging, please, I ask for you to finally hear us out.
The idea of having to use an older version of the software (1.

to get a multi instance workflow, only because the current software won't allow for multiple instances should finally be an obvious sign of what you already know.
It's sort of like pulling teeth, and lets talk about using the very dated drop down select a plugin/.pgm workflow for a second.. It's tired dated and dead. Any modern software should be fully capable of drag n drop everything, everywhere, even when the REN was launched imo. I for one mentioned this many moons ago
Please have a clue and realize DAW users are important as well as the majority of standalone users. We need your development team to do basic things like send midi over programs, while in the DAW trigger programs over pads via midi ,things the hardware Mpc's could do almost 15 years ago. (Mpc 4000)
We also need a multi instance Mpc workflow in our DAWs, not a half baked app (essentials) thats older and doesn't have the same features as the full version we at the time paid good money for,yet a $150.00 controller gets the software and feature we could really use. Going back to a later version isn't an option in many cases as we've began using newer features, this should be evident and without the need to explain.
On a personal note I even went out n purchased a new piece of software, GEIST 2 which pretty much blew my mind once I gave it a shot and sadly destroys the Mpc workflow when comparing the two in a DAW. . Though because the Akai Mpc has been slow with features for the Ren, now touch, in daw development, in the case of midi mode I'll have to buy a MPD just to trigger GESIT 2 since the Mpc cannot pack midi mode feature's like Maschine and NI's controller editor options.
Not to rag on you guys, but it's definitely needed by now. Also another major one, how about a decent template which can be saved and recall kits, settings, and maintain channels and mix buss settings without over writing the program, when dragging in a different drum kit for example is needed as well.
For the users who reside in a DAW for production, tracking and mixing , we simply want our favorite weapon (mpc), to have some ammo, effort put in for the DAW workflow. I hope and trust this message opens some eyes regarding DAW users finally.
You guys are the best at what you do, but don't forget about us..
