I hope to **** that those clowns design a modern looking MPC, drop that wack-ass name Renaissance, and most importantly change the design aesthetic. No one wants to see any more MPC 60 colored controllers. A piss poor decision from the start.

What you're describing sounds to me like the MPC Touch. Personally I like the whole "throwback" aesthetic - different strokes for different folks.

IMO, the MPC Touch is effectively the Ren replacement. No doubt another so-called flagship will arrive eventually, but I'm not convinced that's going to happen anytime soon. I assume they'll want to flog the Touch to death first rather than fragment sales by introducing yet another controller. Too many options = bad news IMO.

Just gonna have to wait June 23 for NAMM for official story and future of the line. Dan will talk, OS 2.0 is not even out yet, it's a shame Akai cuts off the Ren before it was released, I guess they want you to buy controllers every 4 years.

Fortunately, the guy at djkit.com has no idea what he's talking about. I told you guys a while ago the Touch was not the flagship, and it isn't. It was never supposed to be anything than a touch-screen entry-level MPC controller. Glad I didn't waste my money :-D

Do you really know something about a new flagship, or are you just an optimistic person?

You should hold your breadth, it should be out soon. Its def worth saving a few hundreds bucks for two years.

Theres a thread on gearslutz where somebody saw the prototype last year. He just talked about it.
