Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I just got an MPC 2000XL. I'm trying to sample off my turntables and not getting any sound out of my speakers. I have my turntable connected to my mixer and from the mixer "record" to MPC "record". MPC "stereo" out to my amp and speaker wire from amp to speakers. I'm using rca cables with rca to 1/4" adapters. Speakers and amp work fine, I use them with my turntable setup. I get sound when I put my head phones into the MPC but no sound when I trying to use the speakers. Am I missing something?

either you don't have the mpc going into the correct input on the amp or maybe it's not set to the right input?

or

maybe the cables are completely defective? (unlikely)

or

the main outputs are ****... after sampling anything into the machine... disconnect the main outs from the amp and connect to the mixer so when playing back the recorded sound you can see if it makes the meters light up

Thank you. Tried connecting to mixer like suggested and didn't get any light up. Looks like the MPC outputs are bad. Moved them around a little, got light sound but went away quick.

super lucky.. great! Well you already did the hard part making an account here.. why not stick around a bit.. we got a music section where you can post your music, plus we have a weekly beat battle where winner picks the sample for the next battle.. etc.
