Using MPC Studio in live setting w/o computer

I'd like to use the MPC Studio in a live setting without hooking up the USB to my computer, an audio interface device and finally the monitors. Is there a way to directly connect the MPC to my monitors?

how do you plan on running the mpc software without a computer?

Looks like mpc touch is what Im looking for.

The MPC Touch is also only a controller...

But once you start a new project you can operate most functions directly on the Touch. I'm impressed so far.

Yes, but it's a standalone unit allowing me to connect monitors directly to the unit w/o a computer & external sound card interface.

No it´s not...

Maybe your definition of standalone is different from mine, but in my world standalone means it can run without a computer attached.

Ok, help me out here. I'm a guitarist looking for a drum machine I can use as a backing track. Somewhat of a sampler, but want to create my own tracks to be available to playback live.

You need a computer to use The Touch, Studio, and Ren. It will not work without it. You need a MPC 1000.

the touch can do nothing without a pc, because the touch hasnt got a CPU. so, thats all you have to know.
if u want an mpc without having to use a computer buy a 60/500/1000/2000/2000XL/2500/3000/4000/5000. thats all. everything u need to know was said here and above.

Other solutions might include getting a Roland SP-404SX or a Beatkangz Beat Thang. Those groove boxes run standalone. Also, an Akai Pro MPX might do good, although it lacks a sequencer.

While the SP does it's job and is quite popular among live artists, it's sound quality needs some getting used to, and the effects are quite crappy. It might be what you need, but try it out first.

I habe never gotten my habds on a Beat Thang though, but the testimonies and tests weren't as great - but it should be usable approximately like an MPC.

My advice is to check them out at the music retailer of your liking. Both groove boxes are operatable on batteries, by the way.
