Hello!

Is it possible to apply the Filters from Prog Mix to a track?

Image

for example I've chopped up a break and sequenced it out.......but now I want to apply a Low Pass Filter to the whole track.......It seems to me that I can only apply it to individual pads....

any thoughts?

Yeh I was hoping there would be a way to use those actual filters & modulators rather than a separate plug in.....I'm guessing not though....

I thought I tried that, and it didn't work because a single sample was still being selected under 'Layer 1'...

i'll have another go when I get home though.......if that works I'd be over the moon!....

cheers PSP

Have you assigned the Filter on the actual Program Channel Strip for the break?
Applying a Filter to the Program Channel Strip insert will allow you to filter all the sounds in that Program all at once.

Assigning the filter to the Program Channel Strip Insert also gives you the ability to record automation of the filter assigned to that Program Channel Strip. You can record automation for the filter to the entire program all at once. If you desire to do so.

I have no problem inserting plug in FX to the Program Channel. I just wanted to use the Params and EQ FX available in the Prog Mix section (as pictured above).

I really like the sounds I can get using the cut off and resonance on those filters. I'm looking to apply that to a whole track......rather than use a separate plug in, which is not quite the same....

I could re-sample and play the sequence back on a single pad.....and then filter.....but it would cause grief down the line when I want to create a variation in the sequencing on that track...

Oh okay. At the moment using the filters and cutoff in Params area selecting the radio All button in Edit Zone that PSPSounds mentioned maybe your best option at this time. When you mentioned "it didn't work because a single sample was still being selected under 'Layer 1'" Can you give more detail? Your pic displays no sounds loaded on Pad A1.

Got it!....

thanks PSP and JBM....it works with the Edit Zones > Select All......

I was trying to work it by selecting all events....which doesn't.....

I think this is going to re-open some old doors!
