question about using 2 effects at the same time

hey guys,

i came across a little problem last night when working on a beat, i´d appreciate your input on this.

so i have a drum program assigned to a part in a multi. basically all i want is to apply compression on the drum section. also the snare drum within that drum group should have some reverb on it. now i read the manual several times and basically am familar with applying effects, but in this scenario, as i send just the snare to the reverb, the compressor on that sample won´t no longer work.

can you follow me? any suggestions?

It's not clear what your doing. If you can explain how you routed the effects that might help.

It is possible though, I do this scenario all the time.

i try to be a bit more specific:

first of all, i have the machine running at 44 khz, i am not planning to go the 96 way

what i want to do is to have the compressor working on the whole drumgroup, also the snare sound should be affected.
all the drum sounds are basically summed in Part 1. I applied the compressor to that part in multi mode, set send fx to 0.00 db, refering to the manual the direct signal option in the effect page is turned off. I am using send A.
For the snare drum, in program mode, i set the send fx to -30.0 db, using Send B. In the effect page, direct signal is turned on.

do you need more information?

all the sounds used are in mono, and later going to be recorded as mono tracks
everything runs to the L and R outputs, no single outs.

In the PAD mixer assign the snare fx send to AB.

You should download all the addendum manuals, the reference manual isn't complete.

Your making this hard on yourself, just add the amount of compression you want then resample it, then add reverb = boom ur done
