I implore you to approach this with an ounce of logic and problem solving skills.

If you cannot reach the motherboard without first removing the top control panel then that would mean you need to remove the top control panel to get to simm slots on the motherboard.

Just want to put up basic info..

When adding memory to the classic, remove the outer case like usual. You will remove a steel plate that both the control board and the drum pads are anchored onto. You do not need to individually remove either of these. You should remove all screws anchoring the plate (maybe 5 or 6). Plus screws on the sides as well. The ribbon going into the drum pads can be removed by sliding the top of the connector towards you. It comes out pretty easy. The plate is also connected to the bottom mother board by one wire that is easily disconnected. Remove plate and set aside. Memory inputs are on the side closest to you a bit to the right. The stick closest to you sits a bit higher than the other. Reconnect bottom wire. Replace steel plate with control board and drum pads on it. Replace all screws. Reconnect thick ribbon leading to drum pads. Don't feed really low towards machine. More like in the middle and slide top of connector back to lock in. If you feed it too low, ribbon will be loose and pads won't work. Replace top. Check to make sure memory equals 32.

Hope this helps someone who has trouble finding decent notes or help with this mod.

Thanks a bunch guys.
