SSD problems?

My ssd works, but every now and then when im flipping through alot of pages/ files, the file I was once in will disappear. I can however get it to reappear usually if I go back to the root folder and then return the folder will now be there.
If that makes any sense at all....

What I need to know is does anyone else have this problem?

What model are you using? Im using that icey dock sata converter discussed in the other ssd post, wounder if thats it...

I am using a Transcend P-ATA SSD. Your S-ATA converter might be causing you trouble. I think it´s best to use a P-ATA SSD since that´s a straight swap without the need for a converter. You´ll need an 40 Pin 3.5'' to 44 Pin 2.5'' adapter, though.

The only reason I got it was cause it protects the ssd from any sort of outside interference which ive been told ssd drives are susceptible too, which can cause data curuption

An example is anytime you have ac voltage present or in some cases dc depending on how its running, it can produce currents that actually radiate out of the conductors, this causes interference in low voltage conductors. If you all have been using these ssd drives without any curruption id take it this is not a problem.

Well, these drives are made to be put inside computers where a lot more is going on voltage wise than in any MPC.

Excellent point, ill be glad to get this problem fixed, not only does this problem with folders occur but when ever I save something it sits and thinks for a good sold minute or too, same thing if I create a folder,rename, ect.

Not sure if I experience this same problem with folders ghosting on my other mpc, but on that I do experience the delay in writes and on that mpc I have a ide compact flash reader installed.... suprised noone has experienced this...

Still, I suspect your P-ATA to S-ATA converter to be the culprit.

I have no recollection of having problems with usb, then again I really havent spent enough tine on the file structure in usb, harddrives are really where its at, ill inspect that tonight tho thanks lamp. I might even open it up this weekend and put in an old school hd (moving hd) to see if that pos dose that too
