You don´t have to spend time on the file structure. You just save to it, load from it and create folders in it like you do with every other harddrive. SSDs use the same technology as USB thumb drives...

I have to spend time with it because it is a completely intermittent problem... and dosesnt happen unless im deep in the file structure flipping through folders of samples

Well I have bought new ssd and am starting to think the problem may have been due to my formatting process,

If I remember correctly I formated the entire hd in fat32, and it's a 120gb hd...

From the other forms it looks like few people do this and just made multiple partitions, anyone have no trouble with :smoker: one gigantic partition?

Any help is greatly appreciated I'd like to get to the bottom of this

i have no prob with 80GB partitions, try that size please

I formated in one partition, in fat32, using a program brought up in a thread. Still have the same problem. My thought about the formatting being the issue is not the case.

I have now replaced my 44 pin to 40 pin adaptor to see if this fixes the problem, I'll post my findings
