i hate to say it but i was right .. this place is dead .. i had good times here .. from learning how to mod my mpc 3000 .. to owning my last piece the ren ... ima miss yall .. man o man to arguing with jah hahahahahah where the hell is jah anyways ? .. cant lie i spent half my life with akai .. and if you have a ren and love it keep it . it all about doing what you love .. but on that note .. peace out mofoes i sold my ren and got a push lmao

It's been that way for a while.

It seems making music on the whole is slowing down. Hip hop is dead or very close. People who did this for money or fame aren't going to last.

The reason it's quiet on this forum is because users probably are fairly content.
There was a lot talk here when Ren really sucked.

Its backwards for me, I usually visit forums while making music. If I need a break, or wait for somethings to process, I'll pick up the phone and browse the Internet.

Since Atlanta's sound is the TODAY sound and more keyboard heavy with the drum patterns simular/same, I'm willing to bet NI and those sound packs keep most MPC head-nodder producing almost obsolete. SONG CREATION is king where boom-bap and sample wore the crown. No 2.0? No new SONG MODE? No play play.

Im quiet because I dont have to mix my beat as much when maschine just sounds better with that built in limiter(softube no doubt)

The reason I have been quiet is because MASCHINE was updated and those sounds in KK keep dripping out making the most fun I have had since the mpc4k strapped to the v-synth xt.

It's quiet because im making beats that sound industry ready soon as im done arranging.

I wanna see this Ren Touch! Until then.....KK S61

im sure in oct/nov time when that 2.0 drops and the new ren touch it will liven up

I lived in Atlanta for a long time. I gotta say though if your going by the top billboard charts, your statement isn't true.

The MPC song mode is still one reason why I use a MPC. I'm glad it is the way it is. I also use linear type sequencing like in daws. I'm not sure what people are doing to there Maschine music, but a lot of it sounds thin.

Some people consider putting a comp on the buss a crutch for mixes. To each there own, that's not much of an issue though with the amount of choices.

I don't know you but I've been around of musicians who chase a pop sound and say the word industry a lot. Ironically though the industry isn't plucking with them.

I was just about to say the same thing. I have very little to ask or share, outside of my output, which has a home elsewhere. I turned out more stuff in the last year w/ the Touch and MPC software than I did in 20 years of Acid Pro / Cubase / Floops, etc. There's very little to discuss. Outside of news for 2.0 (or a new standalone), I barely check in.

Maschine on the top 100 billboard so you guys be careful of who you get answers from; they might be a novice wanting to give the allure of experience.
