Why should I name drop? I'm not going to ride there nuts or there wave. I have my own success. Where's your at? The bad part about it is that's a small fry you mention. Your Atlanta heroes are my people.

Actually, to the young ones becareful of who you get influenced by. Most of them are as corny as they come. They'll be telling you to wear a skirt in a second for some pub.

You must have taken a look at the charts, is that why it went from the ATL sound to Maschine? :P

Maschine on the top 100 billboard so you guys be careful of who you get answers from; they might be a novice wanting to give the allure of experience.

I mentor producer K.I.P.

Love waiting for 2.0? Those are all Maschine made. Ya'll be safe.

What the F have the tools ever had to do w/ the artistry on display? If you think any of that ish trumps "Daily Operation", you're buggin'. MPC Users have no use for BS Trap. It's garbage.

I think Ray's being sarcastic w/ a lil trolling thrown in for comedic effect.

Tutor and company still have me on moderation que. So all my posts have to be reviewed and approved.

It was only a matter of time that over moderating would result in fewer people frequenting this site. Very few people came here to chop it up with the moderators. They came here to learn and argue with guys like me that have been a conduit between the forum and Akai for years. Guys like me, Joey / Sounds for Samplers, Masada, and Hellfire worked our tails off to ensure most of your feature request made it into the MPC Software and even more is on the way.

I type this knowing it will likely not be approved for display....

Meanwhile Pioneer is dropping a standalone sampler with touchscreen called Toraiz SP-16. Not enough details out yet but definitely on my radar.

Lots of things have changed in the past few years, people use social media less for knowledge and more to showcase their music and grab quick feedback. If you look at some of the music production groups on facebook the technical questions make up a very small proportion of the posts compared to people just upping a quick instagram video of their beats. Ultimately sites like this have spent the past decade or so building the knowledge so it makes sense that people need to ask less questions these days - the info is already out there in abundance and of course it is much more spread out compared to the old days - forums, facebook, youtube, books, videos, etc. People have never had it so good in that respect.

I also don't think we'll ever see the MPCs as popular as they were 10 years ago, that was a pretty unique time when we had the big explosion of MPC1000/2500/500/JJOS etc - now they are much more niche and battling with a newer breed of producer.

I just love the fact that I can plug in my MPC 2500 which is over 10 years old and not worry about it needing to be compatible with Windows 10 or El Capitan.
