topics of discussion did seem a lot more interesting on stand alone forums.....

with software it seems more about updates and zhit more than how to fug with what you've got....

This forum will Light up again once News worthy presents itself..this is the number 1 forum on the net for Mpc ...Every Mpc user at some point stops here...again when news happens the room will pop again.

The moderation queue is reserved for 1 or 2 people who have shown they are able to occasionally contribute positively to the forum yet unfortunately tend to prefer a more antagonistic, disruptive approach for the majority of the time, despite countless warnings and second/third/fourth chances. They tend to see the forum as a place to 'argue' (their exact words), not to 'discuss' or 'help', a place where they can engage in strawman arguments and pedantics until they've completely and utterly derailed useful topics, turning them into bitter war of words between members.

For every member who looks back at those times with some kind of **** up fondness I can show you 20 exasperated members who contacted me via PM to inform me they were leaving due to the arguments and disruption.

People on moderation queue are still free to post here to help people out with their MPC technical questions, and if they do so without returning to 'form', their posts will be approved - only trolling posts are not approved. So it isn't a case of 'freeing' them, they are 'free' to help themselves by showing that they are willing to help others and not just here to stir up trouble.

I don't like excluding or restricting people around here unless I have very good reason to. People don't know exactly what goes on 'behind the scenes' on sites like this, but I can assure you it can get pretty emotionally draining dealing with some of these trolls.

BTW, I'm not getting sucked into another debate about this, it is what it is and for very good reason. I'll leave the rest of that particular discussion to all the people who don't seem to actually post that much around here anymore...

I know they are working on it but frustrating not to hear about any updates to 2.0 since January.

Genius takes time.

Can't wait for audio tracks, real time time stretch, and pad perform play. I hope it allows you to stretch samples by beat/bar.

Ndeed my guy. I'm sure the addition of those capabilities will start a lot of discussion.

But like someone said before, when things are working fine, there will be less need for back and forth. People will be happy and making music.

Then native instruments will drop a new maschine update around or after mpc 2.0.

I am one of those who don't post anymore. I have the Touch, it works great, so really not much to say. I still read threads, but more for "entertainment" purposes.

I am stoked for 2.0 though.
