TRIM menu
-> znEdit
-> choose start and endpoint of the part you want (Pads are not working here. If you want to listen to the part you've selected you'll need to set the PLAY X function to ZONE and hit F6 (PLAY X) )
-> now modify the endpoint by selecting more than you need (about a half of a second). I'll tell you later why.
-> Hit F5 (EDIT)
-> choose ZONE->NEW SAMPLE
-> choose a new sample name (dont forget to hit enter after entering the name!)
-> hit DOIT
congrats. Your first slice is born
To get more slices:
-> set the cursor to startnumbers and hit OPEN WINDOW
-> set the Zone Lngth parameter from VARI to FIX. This will fix the length of your selection. (thats why I told you to modify the endpoint. now you can be sure that none of your slices will be too short)
-> set the startpoint of your new slice
-> hit EDIT
-> I guess you know what to do now......
When you're done, go thru all slices and modify the endpoint. Dont use the display now!!! Just use your ear. You'll see why.
