How to route MPC sounds as mono to your DAW.

I guess you are referring to when you have things on different pads on the same program.

I got around this by using a multichannel sampler/drum machine in the DAW and having the program as a MIDI program and the samples being triggered in the DAW by the MPC's MIDI so I could then have separate tracks for mixing for drums as it was multichannel.

MPC software MIDI program -> DAW-> MIDI routed to channel with multichannel sampler/drum machine -> individual tracks for mixing.

Otherwise if you are doing 1 drum piece per program the MPC plugin throws them all out as stereo so just use the power of your DAW and make the tracks in the DAW mono.

Thanks for the reply? I don't see why i should have to use another drum machine /sampler software to achieve this properly when the mpc software should be able to get this done on it's own. When sounds are panned in mpc software and routed to mono tracks in the daw the sound of the samples are noticeably weaker. Even when i bring levels up to peak same as stereo it doesn't hit as hard. Just used to tracking out mono assignments that way from previous mpcs
