MPC Touch *problems*

Hello,

Does anyone else have any difficulty or problems with enabling the secondary mirroring screen interaction?

What I mean is that how can I use my MPC Touch's screen interface to look at my desktop window. For example, If I try to web surf or open other apps like Safari, Google Chrome, iTunes, iMovie, or etc apps, How can I utilize my secondary screen. I would like to just interact and observe what is on the desktop's projection onto my MPC Touch's screen. That is what my main point in this question.

My second question is:

How can I utilize my headphones input from the MPC Touch's controller module?
For instance, If I would like to hear the sound or music playback from my MPC Touch's input from the module's backside ports..

When I plug my headphones into the computer I can hear everything just right. However, I do not hear anything when I plug in my headphones to the back side ports from behind the MPC Touch's module controller..

Finally, my last question is:

How do I get notifications regarding my software update?

I know the recent update from Akai is (1.9.1.6). Although, when I was frequently using my MPC like everyday the software update would pop-up sometimes. It used to check on its own, but not anymore. Also, every time I try to connect to their servers it always gives me an error message that does not connect me to their servers.

2. Select the MPC touch as your sound interface it should in preferences in both the MPC software and other daws. It should also be selectable with your computer.

3. If you launch the MPC software while their is an Internet connection, I believe a prompt wil come up notifying you. Other wise you can check manually in preferences I believe. You can also check here and at Akai's website.

Software update window only pops up when there's a software update available, otherwise it's checking quietly in the background each time you launch.

The manual server connection issue could be a firewall issue, although based on previous posts here there seems to be a problem contacting Akai's servers for people on El Capitan.

Desktop mirroring has never worked properly for me on Mac 10.9.5, but it does work fine on my laptop running 10.10 Yosemite. If you are having problems it might be worth re-running the installer to ensure everything is set up correctly.

Headphones should work if the Touch is set as the audio device in Preferences > Audio.

Hey MPC-Tutor

Hey I just wanted to let you know that I took your advice about everything. So I actually did see sometimes a pop-up screen to regarding my soft-ware update only sometimes. Although, I do not find as a problem nor issue like I once thought since I can do it manually on Akai's updated website. I know it should be doing it on its own, but the reason why it is not doing it is because I'am running (10.11.6 OS X El Capitan ). However, I will re-run it sometime near in the future on possibly on a new lab top I could afford the Mac book pro, but I would like to wait and see if I can get my hands on the New Mac Pro with a touchscreen keyboard and it runs on I think Skylake. Besides that, I did check out the preferences via (MPC Output) and boom there you know it. I did a test sound and I heard it on my head phones. Also, the screen mirroring is not a big deal, but I still would like to see how effectively it works via screen mirroring on the MPC controllers model screen. I will possibly call up Akai's support for a explanation why. I think you told me that it is an issue for Desktop users on Mac because of (El Capitan). I will verify if anything. Thanks again... you answered most of my questions without any drawbacks, and again thank a bunch. I feel welcomed here on the communities forum. If I got any problems I will post them up...

I did read up on the article pertaining to Akai's (FAQ) and well it recommended me to actually not enable it and to leave it alone soley for the MPC interface and software compatibility. I did double check for the MPC preferences and yes I did hear my output without any problems. Accordingly, I also did in fact check my software before it would give me an error message. It is I think the issue pertaining with El Capitan and MPC-Tutor suggested me to re-run it but I will try and maybe it will work but I will check Akai's support and see if I can elaborate either with a call or read-up ....
