The Zip drive is most likely dead. Install a card reader ASAP!

Sounds like it recognizes the board inside the zip, but, zip drive motor may be gone.
Get an IDE (non hotswap) or ATAPI (hotswap) card reader.

im gonna get a card reader. But, i tried with 2 drives and nothing... :Sigh:
