Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Alright guys,

Just wondering if anyone has tried any of the printer upgrades with their samplers?

Here's a link...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/IMAGE-TRANSFER- ... 9WQfyBAIDw

I've skimmed through the manual already but akai must have forgot to include documentation for this upgrade, Or maybe it was released later.

Will this "image transfer unit" let me print out my sample waveforms and midi data onto A4 paper?

Any opinions or responses are appreciated.

Good to hear someones copped it already. Do you mean I'd need to hook up the 4k to a windows ME computer? Or are you just referring to the 1k version?

Err, are we still having a laugh about a Ricoh printer with the same name as an Akai sampler or are you being genuinely serious?

I'm talking about the MPC printer expansion upgrade from the ebay link in my first post.

Printing waveforms would be cool, But the bit that really interests me is being able to print out my midi sequences.
Would be a lifesaver when I've got session musicians in the studio who can sight read music.

It looks compatible with the 2500 and 5k too, Maybe I should start a thread in one of the other sub-forums.

I have an MPC 60 MPK1 with new LCD upgrade, pad upgrade, new METAL buttons I had CNC'd with a 250 thousand dollar CNC mill and Vimana, I'm willing to trade this for 10 printer cartridges for the MPC 4000.
