How do i do a gliding/rolling bass sound? Im using MPC software w/ Monark, Trilian & Massive. I wanna make a similar bassline like this. Any help appreciated

its all about the portamento settings on you synths. That's how you get the gliding sound. They are working with a mono sub bass sound and they just have portamento on it. I don't think this can be done in the mpc software but should be able to do very easily with any synth or any VSt synth including the ones included with the mpc software such as hybrid or the bank

The MPC 4000 and JJOS has portamento settings,'it's a shame that the MPC software doesn't.

Well I suppose you can use the note variation slider to do it real time, or I forgot the Ren or Touch doesn't have that either.

So how do I remove the glide I don't want first note pressed too punchy and I don't want overlapped notes to glide at all! How do I just enjoy the synth bass without that stuff? Boombap
