Sticky rubber

I had to clean the rubber end-Caps on my renaissance with a semi wet cloth.. (It wad very dirty)
Now the rubber feels a bit sticky.. Any ideas??
I thougt about putting af bit of power on it or something.. ??

Use a little dish soap, just a drop on the cleaning cloth, wring it out with water. I use a lens cleaning cloth to clean my equipment.
