I've had a **** of a time trying to trigger the mod sequence on my MS2000r from my MPC2500. I used to trigger it with an Alesis Micron but I sold that. I would latch a note and it would be able to trigger the arpeggiator as well as the mod sequence (seperately). Has anybody been able to work this particular configuration? All midi connections are good.

i havent used mine to do that kind of thing... but i know the MS 2000 (r) manual has a pretty extensive chapter on the way midi is set up... and how it causes the arpeggiator to act when triggering noted via midi.. it's a lot to mention here (in case you don't have the manual PDF) it could just be that a setting isn't correct on the mpc but was fine when done through the micron.

Thank for the reply. I'm trying to convince myself to hang onto it. It's one of my favorite synths but possibly a little to deep for me as far as midi implementation. I'm going to sit for a while with both manuals on my lap and try and get this sorted.

yeah i dont know much about house and other similar genres... but it's a few friends of mine who are into that stuff (not exclusively) that talk about how it is some sort of legendary synth. I'm like... the mini moog is legendary, the arp 2600 is legendary, how is a VA synth with a few PCM voices built in legendary? It is cool, but it isn't korg's most robust sounding VA synth they've made... it's almost subtle compared to the first line of electribes they released.
