but you would think that Akai has enuff financial infrastructure to secure additional coding and testing resources it needs to complete and deliver in the specified time.

Not really, Jack is a bastard. A greedy bastard.

But I guess we all know this by now...

Or maybe they are waiting to release new hardware along with 2.0. Thought we would at least have a release date by now. But keep those sound packs coming. :vomit:

u r stating the obvious here; this was already a foregone conclusion , of course the new hardware was always going to be released with the major software update.

There has been rumblings that a new MPC was being worked on, In all the interviews Dan gave during Winter Namm his wording was very specific/guarded about it. No one has really heard anything since except the dude working with Just Blaze that got fired. Seems he was right about Maschine Jam, Toraiz and some other Roland products.

There has been rumblings about a new Mpc since we see that thing at the Microsoft build. I know the dude got the touch info right , I didn't see posts about the jam or the toraiz , where were they ? ,but there's still no Roland sampler that was the only Roland thing he mentioned? Tbh we only know he was working for just blaze ,because he posted it at gear slutz? What I mean is He could of got the info about the touch from other sources ,Stuff gets leak on the net all the time ,
My op was more that I thought the touch was advertised as being made for 2.0 but has been out for nearly a year ? And still no 2.0

I haven't seen the original post, but have you considered the Roland product could have been the 909 issue from September 9th?

He said it was a plug out sampler that emulated numerous other samplers , the only product that Roland have released that has any sampling features is the dj808 that use seratos sampler

The only thing I remember him saying about Native is that they had a performance machine that he saw. He wouldn't elaborate past that, I'll see if I can dig up the post.

Maybe he just got it wrong slightly. They have released a new synth that has plug out recently.

He was quite specific it was a sampler , cool synth the system 8 , and I suppose it shows that Roland listened to peoples request for a system 8 after the system 1 was released .
And maybe that gives hope to the people that want them to do a sampler

Looks like the post is gone, here is closet quote from a repost on NI's forums. Looks like this was Maschine Jam. I do remember saying it was a performance piece when the thread was up.

I have not demoed, seen or "Touched" anything new from Native Instruments. I have absolutely no idea what their new products look like or what it's supposed to be.

All I know is what I was told by someone who works in the tech industry.

Something is coming and as they said it's going to be the "Clash of the Titans" between them and Akai at NAMM 2016."
