QUESTION ABOUT PRO TOOLS AND MIDI

this may be a stupid question but ive been wondering about this for awhile now....can i load all my sound files from my mpc 4k into PT, connect my midi keyboard,assign the sounds to keys and record beats in realtime w just my laptop/keyboard/mbox/midiman interface?i wanna be able to leave the 4k at home, take my laptop w me and bang out shit w my microkorg sorta like an asr-10 on steroids...i dunno if this question makes sense but it would make a big difference if i could assign the sounds across my keys and have each key assigned to its own track... record in realtime into PTs sequencer and edit all while on the road!!...please tell me u can so i can go add an mbox and midiman to my arsenal today...thanks

You can load all your sounds into Pro-Tools from your 4K
just sync your 4K with Pro-tools and run it right in
and I dont know if you want to dump or record
but I know it can be done.

Get the MBOX and the midiman I have 2 4x4's just incase they come
in handy I have a lap also but Pro-Tools isnt loaded on it and on
assigning sounds to keys I believe that would have to do with
midi mapping as opposed to sys ex.

This sounds like you wanna do some live work.
