Hi All,

Have been using JJOS2XL last several months & loving it but started noticing this:

I play acoustic drums but also use x3 Roland PD-8 Trigger pads via a Roland TMC-6 Midi Converter which has Midi OUT only (see here - amazing unit too sadly discontinued - https://www.roland.com/global/products/tmc-6/)

Now, when i want to set up trigger samples i load up a track select 'Midi' then i start putting which samples i want to assign to each trigger pad etc easy, no worries.
I then also match the correct Midi Note that shows up for each sample in the MPC to my TMC-6 Midi converter too so it omits sounds etc, easy i save it etc done, its worked for years well prior to JJOS2XL.

BUT, there have been times of late when i load up a project with samples described above and they are no longer assigned to the correct trigger pads i assigned and saved them too prior? Is this a bug issue?

I have no idea what to do from here?? Any tips? Is there some sort of setting i need to check that i'm missing??

Look forward to your insights.

Cheers.

Ok so how do i solve this? The PD-8 Roland Trigger pads i use are 'dual' pads ie sounds from rim and centre so should it be this??

PD-8 Trigger Pad 1
- Rim "my sample" Midi Note 36 A01
- Centre "my sample" Midi Note 37 A02

PD-8 Trigger Pad 2
- Rim "my sample" Midi Note 38 A03
- Centre "my sample" Midi Note 39 A04

???

When i load the samples in to my MPC then hit program the samples seem to be jumbled everywhere when i start to hit them the PD-8 pads tp make sure i am hitting the right sample on each pad so does the above save & keep them in place without issue?

Also i noticed before upgrading that every time the program window was open and i would hit one of my trigger pads to see the respective midi note it should be on the sample/midi note part would be highlighted whereas it doesn't do that anymore?

Any thoughts, help is appreciated:)

Yep sadly still having issues when i load saved folders with all my Midi samples that were previously assigned & saved to specific PD-8 Trigger pads they still end up jumbled once i load the folders even after i did those changes on this tutorial notes :( :(:( http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/os2 ... _note3.htm

Any suggestions???

It seems to me the MPC decides what samples should be assign to what midi note when its loaded so how do i know what note it wants me to assign my samples too so it remains confirmed and set to that note when i load a folder each time, otherwise i am having to reload every thing each time, totally frustrating indeed.

Love to hear back asap from someone who has had & solved this issue! thx

hey man,
have you did note assign in program menu [mode11] ? and then saved with "replace files"?

in [mode 10] there is a note chart but it only aplies to newly made programs (as default)

Hey mate, ok i think i got it, just need final reassurance:) so this is what i did!

* Loaded folder
* Test hit each of my PD-8 Triggers pads to see what midi note that each pad is displaying on my TMC-6 Midi converter
* Matched these midi notes in my MPC which all worked fine & dandy, yay:)
* Went in to Save Mode - Hit save - A Program
* Hit -DO IT
* Then the next window showed:
Save: With Samples
Replace Same Samples - Default was NO so i changed to YES
* Hit DO IT
* Then it said File still exists - Rename or replace - I hit replace!
I reloaded it up, all samples assigned to correct pads & correct midi notes:) I even shutdown MPC rebooted, loaded again all good!
So i think its safe to say this is the problem solved?

Look forward to your reply:)
