I'm sorry but I have to agree. Feature side is very dope but the lights reminds me of the Simon Says game from back in the day. Then I believe they came out with other versions soon after...Those same lights except their pads was plastic of course. I admit I do like that its under lit on the Akai pads. Looks better imo.

ImageFirst of all some of us want to hear what i'm reporting having spent money on the "Right Choice" I felt it was my duty to tell my bros waiting in the Akai lobby.

To the professional like JK Swopes, AKA St. Joe created a whole empire(Maschine Masters) based on those pads you keep dissing but the pads I like the most(MPC Touch) dropped the ball and dropped in price lol. Some people are born haters tho. They still didn't say anything about me getting Peg pregnant and naming her "joker" son "J"...... #bars

***EDIT*** I just clicked on ya soundcloud dawgie......I'mma leave you alone from now on. You looking for hugs. :Sigh:

"Follow the pattern" looks amzing on the pads! I'm getting work done and having fun!
:worthy:

Anybody wanna hear the "scratching" feature from the "touch strips" click my signature soundcloud beat. Fellas we have a situation. This is not time to bicker and be a "joker" like these trolls with nothing to push our new mpc agenda. for real tho.

Mpd mpk Ray post a link to the soundcloud, I can't see it on mobile. I'm really interested in the scratching fx.

The Jam was done real well, the only issues I have are the duplicate 2.0 license and duplicate Komplete lite products. Stuff like the gif you posted and strip strum mode are incredible.

Use the strips to play the chords then the scratches.
It's on my website http://raynman.com/ also. Don't forget to register! :smoker:

You can scratch on any MPC by assigning a scratch sound to note on and using a q link fader to real time tune. On the MPC Touch you can use the XY screen to scratch.

If I remember correctly there's a screen on the MPC touch or software where you can assign the pads to a seq in song mode.

That sounds like MATH instead of MUSIC. There are videos all over the internet of people scratching with Maschine Jam: push a button, select the feature and it's on the touchstrips....SIMPLE. You know......What MPCs are known for? Remember? Walk in GC, cut on a MPC for the first time, WHOOPS!; made a hit!

 Putting scratching on a button is a fail. I'm an iPad DJ. I scratch on a screen using Algoriddim DJay 2 platters and I'm nasty on it. So I went to GC DJ Room to get caught up on new scratchers and I played with this:ImageSo that's where I got my belief that the Jam could scratch professionally.

So the only way Akai can get the crowd back with the Touch is something like:Imageotherwise it's looking like more price reductions and delays in the face of us knowing this technology is a possibility in the MPC Touch Pro/2/XLImageImage

And if they put it on the MASTER output and not just sequences that would be the nail in NI's coffin. But we only have today and today is Maschine Jam Day dammit! :worthy:
8 touchstrips for quick suzuki omnichord-like strumming, mixer faders, or Traktor DJ scratching/fx strips. I think I'm gone for good bros! "Hey Geoff put Pete on the phone.......Yeah Petey its Ray......Yeah look it - I ain't never coming home no more, take it easy!"

I'm with you! I love the hospital machine look.
Only thing is the hospital don't wait years for empty promises or features that been on the previous models or you die. In our case FL Studio, Ableton and ProTools is winning and we making love to this idea that don't ever get realized. A icon that can't keep up with today's microwave music ImageI own both and Maschine Jam is owning Maschine Mk2/Studio AND the MPC Touch/Ren
