Does It lower MPC 2000 Value?

So i'm just wondering if customizing the MPC 2000/2000XL in any way lower the value of it? Do people look out for the original color on face, buttons, and pads? im talking purely cosmetic too because i know upgrades to the actual machine can higher the value.

Me personally, when I mod MPC2000XLs I keep it simple and tasteful. I add colored pads, new black & red buttons, the upgraded blue screen, add a compact flash drive, an internal 8GB hard drive and different colored LEDs.
I keep the top cover the original tan or blue.

It depends on the type of customization. Adding new buttons or pads should not lower the quality but taking a paint brush and painting over it definitely does.
