yup...
Soundlogic is the way to go... the MPC60 memory upgrade is actually an Akai proprietary expansion board, not just a regular RAM simm, it plugs in like a chip socket(?is this what its called?), not the regular RAM type socket... the real Akai memory expansion boards are extremely rare from what i hear... Soundlogic actually manufactures there own RAM expansion boards for the MPC60 and the S950, and they claim that the ones they make are actually much more reliable(whatever this really means) than the original Akai ones... anyway, i think they are the best deal... and they are warrantied for life thru Soundlogic, so you cant really go wrong... I got mine from Soundlogic thru Ebay, it was an auction starting at $79 with no reserve price, and not too many people bid on these things... i think i got it at $79 plus shipping, which is a cool deal... They occasionally do Ebay auctions for these things(thats how i got mine), but not steadily or on a regular basis... the regular price is $107, but if you wait for an auction you might cop it for $79 or so... you might even get him to start an auction for you if you call him and ask him too... get the number at
www.Ramona.com/soundlogic, and ask for Mik... Mik is a cool cat, a musician himself... i think Soundlogic is a one man show, just Mik, but im not sure...
goodluck...
