agree

also i hear the delay in the software was that it was crashing daws; i say release it anyway cos many people use it in standalone, the can drop a patch to fix the daw crash issue later

And then people will complain about half finished software. That will get a great response.

Yeah, Akai cannot afford to put out a product/software that'll cause bad reviews. Renaissance with the immature software was bad enough; they don't want that again. A long wait is better than putting out a commercial beta product.

This is why I'm looking forward to a standalone unit. Operating systems have so many configuration and background programs running it can be challenging to find out why something is crashing. A more 'locked down' embedded OS would solve a lot of these problems. People get nervous evertime an update is announced for an OS. Drivers stop working for example. Biggest feature I'm looking forward to in the standalone is stability.

I'm as patient as an alligator awaiting his prey. Soon as this hybrid passes along, I will snatch it and bring it down underwater to my swampy domain. :fku:

These new windows 10 updates are the worst, the constantly uninstall the Touch's video drivers.

As the focus of the unit is standalone; I feel they could drop da product without the daw support and the basis that people want to get away from the computer.

As long as they declare up front that there are known issues with DAW xyz.

And if they don't hide that and say that by NAMM they will have a solution patch fix, ID be cool wid dat approach, as long as everything else is working

Watched the MPC Academy livestream. Host said 2.0 will be $99 if you bought your MPC over 12 months ago, and free if it was less than that time. Great way to punish early adopters of the Touch...

Pete's too busy doing Audio Programming seminars. 2.0 won't be released until 2017 at this rate! Lol

Akai needs to pay him more $$$ so that he doesn't have to supplement his income doing seminars.
