Yooo guys,
Hitting you up from Dublin, Ireland. having issues with the screen on my MPC touch, got it as a birthday present, its an american version, sent numerous emails to AKAI about warranty, support ETC. i can use the 16 velocity pads, but no screen activity whatsoever, running Mac OSX Sierra. everything has been set up including display link, no screen activity whatsoever. i do not think the touch is a good paperweight as the screen is the main point of the unit. all help would be appreciated. thanks guys! <3

Core i5 2.7 ghz, 8gb ram, 256GB SSD, OSX Sierra.

The touch is officially compatible with Sierra. Check which display driver you've got. Also have you got the latest firmware on the touch itself?

Regarding your link the "MPC" Touch requires the latest version of the software (1.9.x) to be compatible with Sierra. But the chart I´ve posted clearly states that 1.9.x isn´t compatible with Sierra.

:hmmm:

Guess Dan and the team were busy sucking Jack´s cock instead of updating the chart then...

:Sigh:

As im Irish and it is an American unit I have to send it back to someone in america, who then send it to Akai, who then replace the screen who then send it back to my dude in america and he would send it back to me, running the risk of having to pay even more for import duties.

Tutorials on how to replace a screen? Surely Akai should do this for free under warranty? Or just send you a completely new unit?

What is that supposed to mean? because its a newer product its lesser in quality, sure the materials maybe less of what they used to be, the unit is more PRODUCTIVE than older units, productivity surely is the end game here...
