Footswitch for MPC 1000

Hello all,

I am looking to purchase a foot-switch for use with my MPC 1000 for the "start" function. I have read of 3 units that may work for this use but I was wondering if anyone could confirm that these work with the MPC 1000. The units in question are:
-Roland FS-1
-Boss FS-5U
-Tascam RC 30P

If anyone has additional suggestions that would be appreciated as well.

Question #2: From what I understand a foot-switch can only be used for Start OR for Stop but not for both, is that correct?

As long as it's a momentary switch, not a latching one any one will do.
