Is it a beta or the full version?

Also...what's new in this version?

Does it matter that it's on the Japanese site?

I was hoping for something else when it came to editing the samples with the q-link. I guess i didnt read the whole thing. But other than that, its cool i guess. The data transfer to the pc seems to be faster and more stable, and im diggin the fact that the you can move freely around the trim/lp - region pages in the edit field without either effecting each other. One thing i would like to see though is being able to switch between the main screen and the program page, while a sequence is playing, without the samples overlapping when the sequence starts over (if you are in loop sequence mode). Other than those few problems, im still happy with the machine.

here's a rough translation from the update notes on the Qlink function:

Configuration manner (TRIM/LP and REGION) of the St/END point which
used the *Q-LINK slider (Q5, Q6) 1. St: Please adjust cursor to field.
When (the ACTIVE key of Q5 is pushed, automatic cursor St: It moves on
field. While) pushing the ACTIVE key of 2. Q5, please make the slider
move from under to on and configurate the start point of the sample.
3. END: Please adjust cursor to field. When (the ACTIVE key of Q6 is
pushed, automatic cursor END: Transferring/changing it moves with
respect to field. While) pushing the ACTIVE key of 4. Q6, it makes the
slider move from above to under and configurates the end point of the
sample. Also variable width of the slider changes hint -> zoom in of
corrugated display field/with the value of zoom out (SHIFT+BLOCK
CORRSOR).

Does this also happen when the Monitor mode in the Program page is set to MULTI?

Hello.
Is this a beta release? Or an official OS update??

If it's called v1.70 it sure sounds like an official release to me. Let's wait for the international site to come with the OS and pdf.

I'm tired of waiting..I know that Akai came through many changes but i didn't expect a bug fix (with all that rumors about the audio tracks etc. etc.) But let's see what PDF will be about..
