Need good monitors for under $200....

Anyone got suggestions on good studio powered monitors for under $200. I really appreciate it. Thanks.

These are CLASSIC small room-studio monitors that have really really clear sound for the price and size. I paid like 125 for my pair that Ive ha for years - but Im sure you could go to pro sound (pssl.com) and cop a pair for like 100 bux.

they are small and light, but are self-powered and have dope sound

just save another $150 and get a decent pair of speakers. the worst thing you could do (if you are really into music production) is waste your money to satisfy your need just to buy some speakers. save your money and get a pair the will last a minute.

i agree with mwalker i use to have those ma-8 that dude was talkin bout and there cool for the price but you gonna want better ones after a while and they just turn into a waste of money unless you use them at work like me then youll have the hottest sound system in the shop

Yep, we've got the M-Audio Studiophile DX4 Active's. Cheap. Beautiful. Under $200. DON'T GET THE ROLAND'S!!! THEY ARE OVER GLORIFIED COMPUTER SPEAKERS... They may sound nice, but won't give you the flat response you'll need for mixing properly. My opinion.

I just read description on those. It seems like its just top of the line computer speakers. Are those really studio speakers?

Nah, read up on the descriptions, and search for user reviews... If all else fails, the best thing is to listen and compare...

Matter 'o fact, they only mention games and DVD's once at the very end. There are better monitors out, but for the price, I've compared, and these do more than the trick...
