Using zoom r8 as my audio interface

hi i'm using zoom r8 multi track recorder as my audio interface
and i'm trying to use input effects in the zoom r8 for audio recording to my mpc studio

but the problem is..

when i go to audio interface mode in my zoom r8

the zoom r8 setting keeps on turning to 96 khz..

but i need to be 44khz to use the effect..

i tried to load on 44khz (messing with the option in zoom r8)

but even though some how i got it load in 44khz

soon as i turn my mpc software it turns back to 96khz..


what should i do??

is there anything wrong with my software settings?

how do i load my image here??

i'm trying to put the images of my software settings but i can't..

Maybe your computer session is locked at 96 and zoom is reacting and matching that?

Use an image hosting site like photobucket, flickr, imgur etc. Imgur is probably the easiest.
Once you upload the image and have a link URL, to post to the forum press the image button or type this:

[_img_]http://imgur.com/picture.jpg[_/img_]

(& REMOVE THE _'s)

this is my mpc studio setting and my zoom r8 setting

in the mpc studio setting i can't change the sample rate to 44..

and if change the audio buffer size to 320 or lower..the sound gets all weird..

what should i do???

and

in the zoom r8 software i can't change the bit rate to 16...
but i'm not sure if this is related to my problem right now..

Remove the ~~~~~, remove the **** you want it to just say img like [img ]http://URL[ /img]

If he didn't put the _'s in there you wouldn't have seen the code and just what was in the link that he used as an example. They stopped it becoming usable code.

I fixed it for op. @op, to see what I did just quote your own post and look at the code I used in your post. On the imgur page I right l clicked Copied image address.

with 2 inputs and 2 outputs at quality up to 24-bit/96kHz. Effects can be used
when the sampling rate is 44.1 kHz, and the unit can be powered by a computer’s
USB bus.

be used (at 44.1 kHz only) and it can also operate using USB bus power.


If I'm reading that correctly, effects can be used when in 44 not when in 96?? When using high sample rates audio interfaces limit effects, mpc4k does this also when going real high on clock rate, instead of 4 efx bus' I only get 2, my RME UFX audio interface does this also when clocking really high. Audio interfaces lessen effects to account for better clarity I'm guessing is your limitation/problem. It's normal.

Is there a global setting in Zoom that makes it keep going to 96?

Can you start a new session in Zoom and choose 44 with that?

Do you have another audio card/interface somewhere that is causing this?

no !! the only audio interface i got is the zoom r8

"You have to set the configuration to 44.1kHz before making the connection; and make sure the computer software is set to the same (bit-depth, sample rate)."


this is the first answer i got from the zoom forums but i didn't work for me..


even though i try to change something in my zoom r8 software

it's like the the software is locked..it i can't change a thing ..
