that is partially why you have people like dre, premier, and many producers still using the old models... the new models didn't bring anything valuable to the table for them to move on.

most recent video I saw of Primo he was on a Renaissance.....someone posted it on here.....

sure, but i don't remember seeing him on a 3000, 2000, 2000xl, 1000, 500, 4000, 2500, or 5000... anyways it was just an analogy.. it isn't specific to what one guy may or may not use.

let's be honest... i doubt primo only used one piece of gear and that's it.. over the years we personally have tried many products... don't you think these full time producers also tried many different products as well? Primo probably has access to more gear to try out than we do. But somehow we look at a couple of pictures and assume we know his routine and more importantly... what is not in his arsenal. That is ridiculous.

Think it's been on several interviews during the past few years that he's been asked about his gear and he still says it's the MPC 60 II and s950.

If you check the bars in the booth sessions on youtube you will see Ren in action.

Yo but back to dem Steinways though. I got crazy visions God. Check it. Boom. What if Akai collaborated with Steinway and Son's and made a new controller that basically is a Steinway with a built-in microphone connected to an MPC that is bolted on to the Steinway. That way you can sample that pure Steinway sound. They could call it the MPC Live Grand.

See; we need people with common sense like you to work for Akai so they can finally get it right.

Where have you been for the last couple of weeks..?? But there is one thing that makes me curious.. All of the pictures (the second one) that I've seen of the MPC model X up till now have been cropped but yours isn't. Where did you find it..??

I don't understand... where was this MPC being shown? it already has the MPC X label on it (on the table / stand). I didn't think it had been announced / released yet, but that clearly looks like a "show" it's being displayed at. Did this get announced recently? Other than the FCC "leak".

Im trying to figure that out too. It was posted by a producer on instagram from mexico. Funny this is its from November. No one really gave a shit until the leaked product images and then they connected the dots.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are more pictures floating around the net. It's just that one would have to recognize that its the model X.

Of course, you and me would recognize the model X right away but what if your social media followers only care about your music and don't have a slightest idea of what an MPC is..??

You can show them all kinds of gear and it wouldn't ring any bells.. :hmmm:
