I just noticed you sounded like someone who works for them or something. If you do thats cool, just wondering... I have noticed you do always defend them though. Is that you Dan?

My thoughts exactly..

 They are starting to leak with higher resolution pictures now:

Image

:worthy: The source also shows some specs:
http://imgur.com/xGqhc4w

• スタンドアローンのMPC コンピュータ不要
• 10インチマルチカラーのマルチタッチディスプレイ
• MPC2.0ソフトウェア
• 2台のターンテーブル接続可能(アース線付き)
• 内蔵ストレージ16GB(10GBのサウンドサンプル含む)
• 2.5インチSATAドライブ (SSD/HDD)
• MIDI 入力x2 出力x2
• オーディオ出力x6、ヘッドフォン端子x2
• CV/Gate出力(アナログ)
• USB−A 3.0 x2、USBメモリ、MIDIコントローラ接続可能

You don't need to be Asian to understand most of it.. :smoker:

When you zoom in you can read the text above the buttons and clearly see the oled display thing above the Qlinks.

Edit: I'm feeling a dejavu thingy here.. Fanu and I where just joking about this Japanese stuff..

did you watch it at all? it was all about embedding windows 10 in devices no matter the size and portability so software could be written for one API and function as intended on any device. The "ren" is probably running on an arm based computer probably.. (tablet/phone guts) and running windows with the pc version of the software. or for all we know it's screen is the tablet.

Yes I did, I found it non informative to what we should expect from this device.. looks like they love to leave loose ends/imagination when it comes to new MPC hardware..

it had nothing to do with a new akai product... it wasn't to inform the music community of a new product at all... it was showing a tangible way windows API can be used for non-desktop products. It was a showcase for potential software developers.

fast forward a few years it looks like now we will start seeing (non desktop/notebook) products using this new windows way of doing things on the market.

It was just a tech demo... for windows.. not for akai/mpc/numark followers.

The new mpc standalone models are apparently not running any type of embedded windows software.. it will be probably closer to an android/linux type of custom build made on the cheap from some hired programming firm in asia. (if i were to guess)

All of this I already knew.. Most of us who are posting/viewing this tread on regular basis do. Maybe I choose my words poorly in the post that you are quoting. I know very well that it was a tech demo of Microsoft trying to demonstrate multiple gadgets with a light version of Windows embedded into them..

Dan Gill clearly stated on the reddit boards (right before he was shot down and got silenced back to his pharaoic death chamber lol :Sigh: ) that the 'Live' isn't going to run on windows. So it would be safe to assume this also counts for the MPCX.

What I was trying to tell you in my last post is that from a MPC-user / specs-hungry-producer point of view it was non informative. I hope you understand me cause I have no other way of explaining this.. :smoker:

Where have you been for the last couple of weeks?? I thought that the photoshop issue was already laid to rest after this picture showed up:

And from my perspective: all information that pops up via the unofficial channels and seems legit is considered a leak.. :smoker:

1) No it's not.. count the buttons bellow the screen.. look at the led lights around the Qlink rotary knobs, look at the color of the volume knobs and the one with windows embedded has an blue led light inside the touchscreen (bottom left). The color of the transport buttons are also different. W embeded is named Akai Proffesional at the front the other is named MPCX.

To me it's clear that these are 2 different units.

2) Who cares if it has been uploaded before, I just found a version with an higher resolution and posted it for the ones (like me who are thirsty) who like it.

3) The following might be a fake W. Embedded, the blue led light seems to be missing in the touchscreen:
