MPC Live + MPC X: new standalone touchscreen MPCs?

Everybody have the right to his opinion. To like or dislike Akai or the rest of the other brands owned by this company. In 2016 we had differents music hits with the MPC touch. We use the touch in the production fase in conjuctions with Logic. But I hope to see that we can do the job with only the MPC in the future. But the truth is with 128 tracks I can't believe that.

When Akai went over to a new company and the MPC4000 did get a little sisters the MPC500/1000, mine opinion was a little tear. And I thought Akai was lost. The 2500/5000 weren't better then mine beloved MPC4000. So I left Akai.

I never owned a machine, but I was so happy with the succes Native Instments had with the machine. It forces Akai to take the nessesery steps. And when Akai came out with the Ren, it was for me the perfect solution.

We are know on the next wave with the MPC. And Akai has to fight on two frontsides. One fight is the fight on DAW's. The other fight is on stage for the Deejay and live musician (Pioneer Taraiz and other standalone machines).

I hope Akai can diliver the next level production machine for the studio. And I hope that they can compete with the other DAW's like Logic, Cubase, Pro Tools, DP, Cakewalk, FL, One and so on.

Furthermore I hope that V2.0 did get delayed for quality reasons. Because when V2.0 is comming out unfinish, everybody here is #%<#*\! over it.

Up to 2017 and I hope to get new goodies to work with and making €€€

More likely they are just counting the number of MPCs released to date (proper MPCs, not the controllers):

60 = 1
3000 = 2
2000 = 3
4000 = 4
2500 = 5
1000 = 6
500 = 7
5000 = 8
Live = 9
X = 10

You don't need to be Asian to understand most of it..

When you zoom in you can read the text above the buttons and clearly see the oled display thing above the Qlinks.

Thats not a leak, thats just photoshop with higher res. Its identicle to before.

I'm looking good @ this picture and youre maybe right. The picture looking a little strange on the transpot buttons. But I also saw a test report of a MPCX on the fcc site.

I agree.. the transport buttons look flush with the mpc body.. But maybe its just an optical illusion..

One question to those "boycotting" the current Akai: why are you on this forum then?
Not to diss anyone or any of that. But I couldn't see myself go on Fruity Loops forum or any other forum if I wasn't interested in their products.
I've got better use for my time.

In general, it's just a waste of one's time and energy. You always see people on music forums go and oppose certain products, and it always makes me think, why do you even do that? It's obvious you have a reason to dislike something, but it's not like you'll be able to turn anyone's head by telling them that. You're literally wasting your time and energy. It's like heartbroken people who keep being angry at somebody one year after a breakup. Or vegans who can't shut up about not approving of bacon.

The only thing that didnt suit me with that combo (and I had it twice) was the fact that you cannot stream/play samples from the HD while your song is playing. That can be done with Ren, which is great.

I've got a 2500 + JJOS but I don't like the sound, It's been eating dust for years. I've also got a MPC Touch and it sounds great.. Currently waiting for the MCX to come out..

Man I hope that mpc x price is sub 1499usd.
