Well im only here because I already own their shitty touch & am going to upgrade,but wont buy anything else from them ever again. Ive been reading through this thread & others & seen you constantly flaming others like if you work for them.So I decided to create an account to scold you.And I'll probably never return either.
Im already stuck with a half finished product,& if their late fine companies are late constantly,video games get pushed back a lot,but they never ever choose to not inform their customers. Ive never seen such complete disregard knowing its been one year since they said anything.
So hopefully this answers all of your questions & fanu & everyone.
And I said "ya itd be a waste of time boycotting them anyways"

coming from NI maschine where they ignored users requests for 5 years and there was a period of 2 years before Jam was released where not one word was said to customers, so I have a higher tolerance for non-communications than others.

but I only had an issue with one guy making nonsensical arguments so I called it out, but I will say more fool u for buying the touch in an unfinished state, u should of done better research before buying.

Why would you upgrade, if you hate the product you own and you hate company itself? Sorry, but it makes no sense to me.

I'm not Akai fanboy even though I owned MPC for many years now, but it feels like some people expect who knows what and then their expectations are not met, they go on internet screaming. Doing research before spending money is the thing to do.

He did not say that he would upgrade to another Akai product.. The touch is a great product but there's a few loose ends here and there. And instead of Akai updating the software with these minor functionalities they decide to lower the price like it's nothing. To me as a touch owner it feels like my touch is going to be obsolete, outdated all together with a support drop.

Remember when they released the touch, it's slogan was THE RETURN OF THE KING.

In my opinion when you are talking about a king it means that the KING RULES OVER ALL. They might not have said it but when your talking 'KING' it means your talking about a flagship. Well it does a great job but it doesn't rule in my studio. I want to use 'side chaining' and 'Izotope stutter' now I need a daw to fix that for me. and these coming soon sections, come on man how soon?

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Akai (I bet I'll be one of the first to buy the MPCX) but it's not normal for a company to treat their loyal customer/fans with silence.. In fact this the first time I experienced such behavior.

Look at game creators. Let's take Final Fantasy 15 as an example. It took them 10 years to complete this game. During the production of this game they had a lot of problems including the fact that they started developing on the PS3 but finished the game on PS4. They had a lot of setbacks but they did communicate because they knew that the Final Fantasy Franchise has got millions of fans, millions and millions of potential new generation fans.

I've always been an Akai scavenger buyer aside from the mpd26 I bought new. My mpc2k, and s900 were bought used on harmonycentral.com classifieds when it was the place to go aside from Ebay, and my 500 was Ebay.
So when I see the rumors about the mpcLive being mfsrp @ $799 I think to myself that they will actually sell cheaper. Maybe $6-700?
Used units will be $5-600! Perhaps that will drop the current ridiculous asking prices of used mpc's. At least demand for the Ren/Touch/Studio should fall.

Think you can just sign in Ebay with $400 and be guaranteed to get a ok shape 1k? Think again. Maybe if you lucky.
Better have $550 ready in case there is a biddiing war on an old blue 1000 with good pads, and no mention of jjos.
