I don't know what to think anymore. I want the X to be released as soon as possible.
We got you saying that it won't be finished by NAMM (Not that I doubt you I just don't want it to be true).
On the GS forum we got this other guy saying that he spoke to his rep and he basically told him that he should call him back on Monday because he couldn't talk about it at that moment or else he would loose his job. (indicating that we might see a release on Monday)

Now I'm not getting fooled 3 times!

This just made my PTSD flare up!!!

Flat out, If Akai would be silly enough.... after all of the bitching and moaning from their target demographic, would create all this hype to NOT capitalize and make the The MPC "Legacy, X, Eclipse....whatever" not be standalone in some way, they deserve all of the ridicule coming their way.

It should at least function as a better form-factor MPC 4000 in standalone. That enough is good for me! It's obvious that the "Live" should be capable on paper. Are they building a flagship or nah....?

But this IS AKAI we are talking about....

All the signs point to 2.0's eminence coming VERY soon. The hardware on the other hand, will most likely be prototypes on the NAMM floor with a "late-2017" release date. (We ALL know what that means... :Sigh: )

We just gotta keep it in our pants for another week or two. AKAI better not screw this up.

I could go and ask my neighbor to predict it all ;)
As I've said, I'll believe it when I see it. There's been tons of rumors around, starting from the "Eclipse" name and all

Let's just say the odds are pretty good in favor of it, and move along. We've seen a bit more than "rumors", to be fair.
Just to let you guys know ive been texting with source & thats why I was trickling info out as I was getting it, in my last post thats when I had clarified everything, & thats why it was now set in stone info. Honestly I just wanted to tell you guys what I was finding out but if peeps think I sound lame or full of it just let me know like fanu does.Ill stop saying sh it.Anyone got any input Icepulse,Fanu, jpeg, etc. Do you now believe me or am I full of it? Im waiting fanu, should I leave with my lying arse or is my info bs?
You need to understand, Akai hasn't said a word to the public in a year. A lot of us a are wary of promises and lies being told. No matter how good the leak source I won't believe it until it's released.

Madhornet wrote:like I said you can hit mute if you dont like leaks or "rumours" as you call them. Every leak can only be confirmed when the company releases info.Be aware your going to look even more foolish very soon when im proven right like before. So far every post from you seems to be acting like you are always irritated by people talking,

If I didn't like rumours, I wouldn't in this topic and forum. And when the facts come out, the rumors won't matter anymore. Rumors are entertaining, but I prefer facts, and there have been times when there's been ppl spreading rumors very intensely like that Thaknock dude or whatever his name was on GS, saying Roland WILL release a sampler on NAMM 2016, and many people were acting like oh yeah he has to be right.

And thanks for the in-depth analysis on me based on reading all my 900+ posts on this forum; I appreciate you taking the time :)

My point exactly. I'll believe an official source, not a person saying he's been talking to the official source. If the official source wanted the info to be out, it would be out.

^^ Don't be offended - this is Akai - there's not many folks here that believe much that comes from them, or their sources - and I'm one of them. And rightfully so - they've earned that. But don't let that persuade you not to share what you learn. Don't take it personal man, the doubt is because of Akai, not because of you. I do appreciate hearing about the rumors and strong indications that things are coming though.

But this is all making it worse for Akai. After the leaks their marketing department should have been in fire-mode figuring out how to approach NAMM, with some message other than "coming soon". If 2.0, the X and the Live aren't ALL ready to show, I'm not sure "coming soon" is a wise statement. Though I don't know what would be a wise statement at this point. They're gonna catch hell no matter what.

And I'll be one of the folks disappointed if the X isn't ready, but I'm considering if the leak never happened - I wouldn't know any different anyway, and the leak definitely shouldn't accelerate their release plan.

Its cool i was just clownin, Honestly I only released the info to begin with because I knew it would probably cause them to try to get ahead of leaks by just announcing asap.

Yeah, definitely nothing personal, Madhornet :) And I do enjoy rumors; that's why I like visiting this thread.
But a lot of stuff relating to Akai is what a lot people who have been following them for a while question and do take with a pinch of salt.
I've been following the situation from its very beginning, and I was a very early adopter with Ren and 1.0, too, ripping my hair out with its bugs, pestering Akai about them as well as sending improvement suggestions their way, so I've been here for a while :) Which means I take all these news with some caution.

On the FCC website, The MPC Live & MPC X are under LTC (Long term confidentiality) agreements that last till (07-05-17 MPC Live) & (30-05-17 MPC X) INMUSIC have to give a minimum of 7 days notice before actual marketing of the units if it is before the actual end date of the LTC agreement.... So.... Not sure what all that means. Guessing FCC will update/release all the Docs, photos etc under LTC & they then become available to public view once Akai notify them.

just floating this out there, I don't what it all really means.... maybe they'll update the FCC on Friday 13th January in time for NAMM?

(edit) I'm thinking MPC X won't be available till August/September 17
https://fccid.io/document.php?id=3212373

I'm thinking possibly they only release 2.0 at NAMM unless they got MPC Live ready to bang out too?
