Looking forward to the new MPC 2.0.
Stuff looks pretty exciting, but I can personally say I would never pay that much considering I can get a maxed out 15' Macbook Pro for a g more or a maxed out PC for close to that price. I'm digging the standalone option, but i'll bet these things are gonna be hooked up to computers more often than not since it's 2017 and there's too many vst's that we all need. I own a Touch, so the Live has "meh" appeal to me, especially considering it has 16gb of internal storage... like you guys put a thumb drive in there? Sh*t, an internal 500 gb ssd costs like 150 nowadays.
I have 2 beefs with 2.0 that may or may not be proven wrong: 1) No flex markers for audio? Just "insert bpm" and it warps? Pretty much guarantees I'm still using Ableton to warp audio before I import it. 2) Is there still no glide option for keygroups? Kind of a deal breaker for monophonic sounds (808z dood). But really, that's why I generally don't lay those sounds down in mpc.
All that said, these will both be pretty dope and I'm sure the screens will be better than the one on my Touch

But I still don't think this thing is gonna cater to my music without using a full-fledged DAW. I guess we'll find out in a month or 2.
