Ok where did I say 18 months?
Why would I say "LOL. My bad. It WAS NAMM 2015."?
See how easy it is to mistype? Mature? You are the one getting all emotional by name calling me Donald Trump. You can learn from yourself.

While you look for where is said 18 months I'll make my original point clear. Why not let the public know that 2 .0 is running late but its coming in 2017? Akai was dead silent for months.

I said NAMM 2016.
You said No, NAMM 2015.
I told you, no.... NAMM 2016, and posted links.
You said NO, NAMM 2015, and posted a link to a vid from NAMM 2016.

So that ain't "mistyping", B.
It's called not acknowledging when you're flat out WRONG.

And if it WERE NAMM 2015, 2.0 would be 18 mo. late instead of 6 mo.

But whatever. You're clearly a child.

FOE.

Donations for air fare welcome, I'll sleep on saintjoe's floor!

Akai should fund this, all you do to keep them relevant. If I would have known about the new MP"s I would've started a "go fund me" campaign. Breaking news St.Joe can't make it, he's giving you his ticket and hotel!!! you already have the question list, safe travels.

callofthevoid wrote:Is there any timestrech option for 16 levels pitch or instrument programs etc. Like if I wanna use a sample and play it chromatically can I make it so all notes are the same length. Like the korg Microsampler has the option for. And ableton etc.. Without having to resample and make a Keygroup. Which would be a ballache workaround if I'm just auditioninb sounds/ideas...

SOMEONE PLEASE ASK THIS!!!!

Been a feature request since MPC 1.1!

Back to reality is the sound adjustable
Meaning=32bit mpc emulation
Can we sidechain properly
Are LFOs equipped with a spectrum analyzer
Btw are the tuning tools for 808
I see the time stretch has no algorithms
Pack with it.look forward to 2.1

3 questions:

In controller mode: does the touchscreen mirror from the computer or use its built-in graphics-unit? One factor of the lag in the MPC Touch is supposedly the screenmirroring.

Regarding the USB-ports: are they hotswappable or do we have to reboot, so the OS can load the correct driver? E.g. when you disconnect an external HDD and plug in an USB-Midikeyboard.

How long does it take to boot and / or load a bigger project file?

I tried to read through a lot of the previously asked questions, but I'm short on time at the moment, so could only get about 5 pages in. Forgive me if these were already asked.

My questions revolve around the specs. Mainly concerned with the long-term technical strength and viability of the products. Although they are built to be more dedicated to their task, they are still designed around modern mobile and PC tech that can age performance wise overtime as the demand for resources by the software grows:

1. I notice the processor is listed as the Cortex A17 (32bit, quad core 1.8Ghz - from 2014 i think), which supports Android, Linux, and Windows IoT among others. Which OS are these units using?

2. This was touched on by someone else, but the specs say 2GB for sampling. What is the total amount of RAM in the system and can it be upgraded?

3. Do these units use the same audio I/O hardware/converters found on its predecessor (i.e. Ren)? If no, then has the sound quality of the audio outputs of the previous standalone MPC lineage been taking into consideration in the implementation of the audio output and sound quality of the two new devices?

4. What SATA revision does the built in SATA Drive connector support (2.0, 3.0, or 3.x+)?

5. What is the maximum SD card capacity supported?

6. Is the display just the touch screen or is it a tablet?

7. In relation to the prior question, we've seen good sounding synths like Alchemy run on 1st gen iPads, given the technical specs of these devices, does Akai have plans to develop and sell a line of affordable instruments that run resident and are designed and optimized specifically for these units ?

Thanks for the questions guys!

I'm trying to compile them all, please, if possible, try to keep actual feature discussions on other threads so I don't lose my mind trying to make sure I get everyone's questions hahaha lol. ;)

I know a lot of this info can be found various places but I always appreciate your support and enjoy being able to represent the forum "in person" at NAMM.
