There is photo 2.0 software, midi-tracks and true audio-tracks separately in display.
Perhaps the only positive thing.

Usually i export tracks mpc-studio to logic x and make/building beat done.

Mpc-studio sofware has been very buggy in all versions update.

@cmackge yes. Add your own SATA drive. User accessible slot underneath the unit for mounting a standard drive.

I call bulls@#$ here. It's all business and marketing. They want to release 2.0 when the units are in stores to buy. I've said it before but they want Touch, Ren and studio owners to upgrade to the X and Live. If they give them a whole new OS before they can buy the new gear they'll be less likely to upgrade.

I have no doubt they are still working on 2.0 and they will be after it is released but I'm guessing it's more a manufacturing thing at this point

Still no "real" video of multiple audio tracks with midi on the screen. Audio Tracks was one of the big features of 2.0.

So the effects will not have been updated since the mpc 5000, as they were ported over to the ren software. To draw some comparisons it would seem the new mpc(s) are an updated mpc 5000. The 5000 had a great feature known as continuous sample play, which allowed you to stop and start long samples, when l had the 5000 l used this feature a lot for recording guitar and bass. From memory the 5000 had recording direct to disc, which did work but the audio editing tools were very awkward to use. The ease of use of audio tracks will be the tipping point for these new hardware machines, really hoping the workflow is seamless. I am currently using the jjos 1000, and tracking to a korg xd16 multitracker, this is a good setup, fast connected workflow, so would be interested in the live if it can deliver what it's prophesising.

barring any showstopping bugs, I'm in for the Live. I've had a hiatus from MPC land for the last 3 years but this is bringing me back.

Already listing a bunch of gear that doesn't get used in my studio so once that all sells...

It wil get more tracks in fiture updates for sure. Maybe streaming from SSD so it won't use to much CPU.

Any beta testers on the forum? If so it'd be good to see a video of the Live getting tested somewhere near the advertised limits. Ie a ton of tracks with a ton of fx, some big ram eating sample instruments, and audio tracks with timestrech, and looper. All at once, and see if things start to get flakey. Especially lag/latency etc...
